Patisserie Mori Yoshida
Today I will be introducing you guys to one of my favorite Chef and Patisserie of all time in Paris, Mori Yoshida. Paris is a city that is strongly influenced by japanese culture. Hence, here you will find alot of French Japanese fusion fine dinning and pastries. There are a few famous ones opened by Japenese Chef themselves and Mori Yoshida is definately on the list.
Mori Yoshida is located at the 7th Arrondisement, a very quiet area. Unlike most of the famous pastisseries are usally located the busy city centre. There is a park right infront of the Pastry shop where you can definately take your time and sit down to enjoy a taste of goodness. :)
Like most of the Japanese design. Thier shop's design is very clean and simple. You will see alot of wood as you step into the shop.
Patisserie Mori Yoshida offers a whole wide range of sweet treats. Such as Pastries, viennoiserie, chocolates, macorons, jams, etc.
I cant get my eyes off these beautiful colours.
And next, yeap. The chocolates. I haven't try them yet but I have a strong feeling that I will be back very soon and as well, I will be blogging another post about their viennoiserie.
Yes, guess what. I was lucky enough to bumped into Chef Mori Yoshida that day and took a picture with him. *fan girl moment* hehe.
Okay back to the patisseries. The first one I would like to introduce to you is this below. My Favorite from Mori Yoshida.
"Beige"
The bottom layer crust is made from sweet short pastry with a layer of feuilletine and praline, orange ganche, derjeeling tea and lime mousse and some chocolate shavings on top.
This pastry is very elegent and gentle. At the same time it gives you a hit from the orange ganche and your tastebuds will end with an amoratic tea flavor.
The Second one is Tartelette aux fraise. The base is made from Chocolate patê de sucree with almond cream and strawberries.
Last one for today is this tarte au Citron which is aka lemon meringue pie. This tart is made from Patê de sucree, lemon curd and meringue. Unlike the traditional Lemon tart in france. Mori Yoshida is very daring in the design of this tart. He made the lemon curd into a shape of brain which I find really interesting.
Well, I guess thats all for today. I will be visiting to more cafes and patisserie in the coming weeks. So make sure to stay tuned and remember to like our page on facebook and Instagram. Till next time.
x
